Incoloy 800 resists sulfur attack, internal oxidation, scaling and corrosion in a multitude of environments.
Alloy 800 is used in a variety of applications involving exposure to corrosive environments and high temperatures. It is used for heat-treating equipment such as baskets, trays, fixtures, and used for heat exchangers and other piping systems in nitric acid media.
Incoloy 800H has excellent corrosion resistance in the water media at extremely high temperature of 500℃. Its higher nickel content made it have good stress corrosion resistance cracking properties in the water corrosion condition.
High chromium content made it better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. This alloy can resist nitric acid and organic acid, but it is not so fine in the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
Incoloy 800HT has superior corrosion resistance in oxidizing corrosive environments such as nitric acid and nitric acid-sulfuric acid. They perform similarly well in sodium salt and other molten salt environments, and provide stress corrosion crack sensitivity surpassing standard austenitic stainless steels.
Alloy 800HT are widely used in chemical plants, heat treatment furnaces and other high-temperature environments.
Incoloy 825 has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and good pitting resistance in all environments except strongly oxidizing chloride solutions.
Alloy 825 is used in chemical processing, pollution control, oil and gas recovery, acid production, pickling operations, nuclear fuel reprocessing and handling of radioactive wastes.
Alloy 925 (UNS N09925) is an age hardenable nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, titanium and aluminum, providing a combination of high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high nickel content also gives resistance to chloride ion stress-corrosion cracking
